George Orwell was born in 1903 under the name of Eric Arthur Blair. He was  a British writer and journalist whose famous works include Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm. Orwell is considered to be one of the best writers from the 20th Century with his works regarding politics, culture, language, and history. He wrote about personal point of views of historical events, like the Spanish Civil War. In a way, he participated in historiography and made it possible for people to better understand the event. George Orwell is famous for his ideas of dystopian societies, bringing Big Brother and thought police to life.
