What common fallacies arise in studying history (link to REASON)?

When studying history, one must know that history is written by the victorious. It may not be an actual true account of what happened, but of what one side thought what happened. Conflicts in particular do not dictate who is right, but instead who is left – the ones to write history. However, with information being so widely available now, it is now more likely to hear both sides of the story (for example, the Middle East and its connection to Twitter). Despite this, in secondary and primary schools, only the victorious’ story will be taught (I feel).
