Scientifically speaking, hypothesis are very important because it gives people the opinion of the scientist based evidence.  There are a few qualities that make hypothesis "good."  It is important that they are based on information contained in the review of literature, meaning there is plenty of evidence.  Even though it is important for hypothesis to be factual it should also be opinion based and independent from others.   Most of all hypothesis should leave room for discernment or be worded so that they can be tested.  This can be done by having both dependent and independent variables inside the hypothesis.
