How do the human sciences differ from the natural sciences?

These two terms were made so that they could be distinguished from each other. The natural sciences include chemistry, biology, astronomy, geology, physics, and other branches of science that deal with the natural world, living and non-living. Human sciences, commonly known as humanities, look at a more social branch of science, including history and psychology and behavioral science. Natural sciences study what we can empirically test using experiments. On the other hand, humanities deal with describing experiences, culture, and behaviors.
